Discover the Members of the Little Rascals (Canaille) Club

Welcome to Hidden Hollow — a little village where nothing ever goes quite as planned, and that's exactly why we like it here.
We are the Little Rascals Club. We stumble, we argue, we figure things out together. Our stories are written for children who do the same.
Stories originally written in French and translated by the author.

Louis

Hi, I'm Louis. I live at the 5th rabbit hole under the Big Ash Tree, which I share with 44 brothers and 57 sisters — I've counted them all, twice. I know everything about everything, which some people find useful and others find slightly annoying. My best friend is Corentin, who knows almost nothing about anything, so we balance each other out perfectly.

Corentin

Hi, I'm Corentin. I live at the pond on the 3rd farm — just follow the dandelions, you can't miss it. I talk a lot. Actually I talk so much that I sometimes forget what I was saying, which is fine because I'll probably remember it later. Or not. Have you seen my sunglasses?

Juliette

Hi, I'm Juliette. I do everything on roller skates. Everything. I'm not going to list what that includes because it would take too long and also I'd have to stop skating to write the list. My favourite stuffed animal is never far away — but I'm not telling you what it is. You'll just have to look for it.

Lucien

Hi, I'm Lucien. I live in the foxhole under the ferns — alone, because I'm an only child, which means I never have to share my French fries. I'm good at spelling, hide and seek, and the obvious. I once declared that after rain, the grass is always wet. Nobody had thought of that before. I also wonder where turtles keep their houses. I haven't found out yet.

Pablo et Lola

Hi, I'm Pablo. I'm a crocodile. I live on the shore of Reed Lake, which is ironic because I'm a bit afraid of the water. I know the names of all the trees, which is useful because they're very good at staying still while I talk to them. My twin sister Lola loves swimming and diving and beating me at maths. She's also a bit of a brat. We get along very well, mostly.

Ali

Hi, I'm Ali. I come from the tropical forest, where there are no cages and everyone is free, which is perfect because I love to run. I run so fast that I lose my stripes — Louis and Lucien pick them up for me. I play the trumpet. Not in the house, because my mother won't allow it. In the forest, the birds sing along. I'm afraid of nothing except snails and earthworms. And a little bit of snails.

The Children and the Tree house

A woodpecker, a trumpet, a skateboard and no adults. The Little Rascals are building a tree house — with everything they have, which is not much.

Pablo is afraid to go into the water

"You don't have to like the water in order to be brave."
Pablo is a crocodile. Pablo cannot swim. Pablo is afraid of water. This is, admittedly, a problem.

Juliette has lost her cuddly toy

I lost my cuddly toy. He goes everywhere with me — school, roller skating, teeth brushing. Especially teeth brushing, because he has a lot of teeth and it's important to set a good example. I've looked under the bed, in the closet, in my mother's handbag. He's gone. Corentin says he'll find me another one. He came back with a frog that jumps. I want MY cuddly toy. I cried harder.

Ali chooses his musical instrument

I wanted to play in the orchestra. Juliette said I didn't play an instrument. I said I wanted to, and that was enough. I tried the tuba, the triangle, the violin — everyone put their fingers in their ears. Then Lola pointed at the trumpet. Toot toot toot. My mother said yes, but I have to play in the forest. The birds don't mind.

Les Jolies Histoires

đŸ€« Psssst
Hey, yes, YOU reading this! Come closer, we have something to tell you

At Les Petites Choses, something lovely is happening. Our little characters — the ones you see on our prints — have heads full of stories. And guess what? They tell them out loud, just for curious little ears.
We call them Les Jolies Histoires. Why? Because they're like a cuddly toy: comforting, funny, and always there to make you smile.
Our little heroes — Louis, Corentin and the whole gang — live everyday adventures, just like children do. They're loveable, funny, each with their own personality and little habits. A bit like home, really. And we're pretty sure your little ones will recognise themselves in them.
Les Jolies Histoires are an invitation to grow up gently, to imagine, to laugh and to find your confidence. Because a good story always does you good.
So — ready to discover our stories 😊
